2020 Toccata Riserva
Toccata “Riserva” is made in the prestigious tradition that has established the Super Tuscan category on the international fine wine stage. Made entirely from grapes grown in our own vineyards, this wine is anchored with Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 6 blended with a distinguished fusion of Sangiovese, Freisa, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Petit Verdot. Taking advantage of our two distinct growing areas, the Italian varietals ripen on our cooler Los Alamos Vineyards while the French varietals hail from both Los Alamos and the hillsides of our warmer Valley View Vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley. Oak aging results in a wine of exceptional merit and style. The spice and zesty red fruit of the Italian contingent practically leaps from the glass, followed closely by the deeper, sweet, rich, full bodied, dark fruits, tobacco, and vanilla of the Bordeaux trio.
53% Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 6, 20% Merlot, 9% Sangiovese, 9% Cab Franc, 5% Freisa, 4% Petit Verdot
