2021 Merlot
Grown using sustainable farming methods, the Merlot grapes for this wine were handpicked from our Los Alamos Valley Vineyard. This is a superior Merlot owing to the long mild summer preceding the harvest. The hand harvested grapes were fermented in small batches using traditional punch downs by hand to mix the cap and the juice. This rich Merlot was aged in French oak barrels. Notes of aromatic black cherry, leather, earth, and spicy vanilla oak dominate this vintage. It is defined by soft tannins and classic structure.
