Yes, We’re Doing This Again - a Blind Tasting of Pinot Noir
The Lucas & Lewellen Tasting Room
We’re bringing it back.
A true blind tasting. No labels. No price points. No reputations. Just what’s in the glass.
On Thursday, May 21st at 6:00 pm, we’ll gather 25 curious members as Andy Moore hosts a blind tasting of our Pinot Noir blindly against several highly regarded (and more expensive) examples from similar regions.
No one, not even Louis, Mike, or Megan (if they're able to join us), will know which wine is ours until the very end.
This isn’t a polished seminar. It’s not scripted. It’s not a sales pitch. This is wine in its most honest form. Speaking of honest, years ago, after a series of highly successful blind tastings had us feeling invincible, a blind Pinot tasting gave us a public humbling. It was uncomfortable but unforgettable. We know because you still talk about it. But Megan McGrath Gates arrived and changed our Pinot program forever and we haven't released even a marginal Pinot since.
So we’re doing this again, publicly, despite the fact that we said we never would.
We’ll taste, rank, and reveal. We’ll see what the glasses say.
If we land at the bottom, be gentle with us. We'll claim it was a bad bottle.
If we land at the top, we’ll try to act surprised.
Either way, it will be transparent. You decide.
$35 for members and their guests. $45 each for non-members. 25 seats only. Members get first access to tickets.
