A Library Experience - Taste History with Megan McGrath Gates
The Lucas & Lewellen barrel room at Building C at 132 Easy Street in Buellton
Join us in our candlelit barrel room, barrels surrounding us, for an intimate evening exploring the depths of the Lucas & Lewellen cellar with winemaker Megan McGrath Gates.
This guided tasting will feature eight carefully selected, beautifully aged red wines, vintages that have evolved quietly over time and are not normally available for purchase. Many of these wines exist only in small remaining quantities in our cellar.
The evening begins at 5:00 pm with a reception featuring vintage Sparkling Wine, followed by a seated tasting with winemaker commentary and thoughtfully curated charcuterie.
This is more than a tasting. It is an invitation to formally evaluate wines that have matured gracefully and to compare how time has shaped their character, structure, and expression. Designed for those who appreciate how patience, terroir, and cellar age reveal a wine’s true voice, this experience also offers a rare opportunity to acquire these exceptional library selections before they are gone.
Seating is limited to just 35 guests.
$95 per person. Reserved primarily for our Owners Select Premiere Cellar Club and Founding Members, any remaining seats may be extended to Lucas & Lewellen and Toccata club members and their friends.
Note: Library quantities are extremely limited and will be offered exclusively to guests in attendance.
We will have heaters but the cellar is cold. Wear jackets!
