Friday, August 28. The First Pour — Harvest Wines and Prize Winning Cheese

Harvest begins with first tastes. Join us as we open Anniversary Weekend with the world's highest-scoring cheese—the 2026 World Champion Beemster Royaal Grand Cru—paired alongside a selection of Lucas & Lewellen wines chosen to showcase why great wine deserves equally great food. Experience harvest from vine to glass as you taste fresh-picked wine grapes, newly pressed juice from this year's harvest, and the finished wines they become. It's an opportunity to follow the journey of the grape in a single evening.

This relaxed, open-house tasting marks the official beginning of our 30 Years at Harvest celebration, a relaxed, open-house tasting designed for arrival, unwinding, and settling into a harvest weekend. Join us as we raise the first glass to another vintage.

Saturday, August 29th. Blessing of the Grapes
Our Los Alamos vineyard Pond | 10:00 AM-11:00 AM

Each harvest begins with a pause. Join us along the pond in our Los Alamos vineyard as Father John offers a traditional blessing of the grapes honoring the season, the land, and the hands that bring each vintage to life.

Breakfast burritos will be available, along with Toccata Sparkling Rosato, mimosas, Toccata Ramato, and Toccata Sangiovese.

Wine Club members and their friends only. $15 per person. Seating is limited to just a few chairs for folks who cannot stand. No shade! Bring your sun hats. Reservations are required. Reserve here.

Saturday, August 29th - The Harvest Cellar Tasting
Winery Tank Room at 132 Easy Street in Buellton | 2:00–4:00 PM

This year, we’re bringing harvest back inside the winery. Join us for a walk-around tasting inside the tank roomn. We’ll be pouring a focused selection of our most compelling wines, along with select barrel and tank samples offering a glimpse into what’s ahead.
Meet Louis Lucas, Mike Lewellen, and Winemaker Megan McGrath Gates, and experience the wines in the place they are made.

A relaxed, standing tasting with no seating and no schedule — just harvest time, great wine, and the people behind it.

Complimentary for Wine Club Members (two per wine club account). $25 for Guests. A selection of wines will be available for purchase directly from the cellar at preferred anniversary pricing only at this event.

Saturday, August 29th. Summer Saturdays at the Tasting Rooms
The Tasting Rooms on Copenhagen Drive in Solvang | 5:00–7:00 PM

An easygoing evening as the sun dips low and the tasting room fills with the smooth sounds of Yacht Rock at Lucas & Lewellen. Sail away through a lineup of Lucas & Lewellen wines while the laid-back rhythms of classic coastal hits carry us into the last light of summer. Enjoy a nostalgic bite of breezy pasta salad, raise a glass with friends, and soak in that perfect golden hour glow before summer slips away. At Toccata, Carol will turn up the music and start each tasting with Sparkling Rosato and a sampling of Caviar Chips.

Summer Saturdays are complimentary to Lucas & Lewellen, Toccata, and Owners Select members (2 per account), and $25 for everyone else.

Sunday, August 30th. The Last Pour
Lucas & Lewellen Tasting Room | 11:00 AM-2:00 PM

Take one last look as we pour a a different flight of wines at the tasting room, along with a few additional selections not widely poured during the weekend.

Louis Lucas will arrive before lunch time to sign your most special bottles and share stories from the early days of grape growing in Santa Barbara County. Wines offered today will be featured in the Dirtman's Half Case at anniversary pricing only available on this day. If his pen still works, these boxes will be signed by Louis Lucas himself.

At noon, Andrew Moore will arrive to preside over a most serious matter: identifying the club’s most insufferably snobbish wine swirler. Volunteers are invited to summon their inner grand cru authority with wrist loose, gaze unaffected, and esoteric wine descriptors as they evaluate, aerate, and theatrically contemplate their glass with the utmost self-importance. Points awarded for precision swirling, unsolicited tasting notes, and an unwavering belief that no one else in the room truly understands wine. The most absurdly pretentious performance will be rewarded the celebrated Wine Swirling Champion t-shirt along with disdain from the rest of us. Andy says he takes bribes. This Last Pour will be a chance to show off your swirling skills (or laugh at the volunteers), revisit favorites, discover something new, and take a final pass through the wines of harvest.
