Lucas & Lewellen's First Ever "Harvest Breakfast"

Location: The Lucas & Lewellen Los Alamos Vineyard

Plans are underway to welcome members to help us harvest the 2010 crop sometime in October! $35 per member - includes an early morning breakfast in the vineyard. Due to the difficulty of scheduling the exact morning when a grape is ready for picking, we will be taking reservations for interested parties and notifying by email a few days before the harvest date. The Family Care Network’s 7th Annual Taste of the Central Coast

Date: Sunday, September 19th

Location: The Cypress Ridge Pavilion in Arroyo Grande

Join Lucas and Lewellen for the Family Care Network’s 7th Annual Taste of the Central Coast; a fine food and wine tasting event paired with a live and silent auction benefitting foster and high-needs children and families on the Central Coast! This relaxing and elegant afternoon event will be held at the Cypress Ridge Pavilion in Arroyo Grande on Sunday, September 19th from 3:00pm to 6:30pm, and will showcase nearly forty local restaurants, dessert establishments, world-class wineries, breweries and live music by Wholly Jazz.  We will also be honoring outstanding community members Jim Glinn of San Luis Obispo County and Ken George of Santa Barbara County with the 2010 “Circle of Serving” award for their outstanding commitment to local youth. Please join us as the 7th annual Taste of the Central Coast promises to be the best event of its kind this year!

The Santa Barbara County Vintners' Association "Celebration of Harvest" Festival

Date: Saturday, October 9th
Time: 1-4 PM
Location: 6600 Foxen Canyon Road in Santa Maria

Local restaurants, caterers and specialty food purveyors will showcase their talents and the bounty of Santa Barbara County, while live and lively bands will fill the air with music. Add to that the silent auction, filled with specialty wines and large format bottles from members of the Vintners’ Association to benefit local food banks, and we definitely have a reason to Celebrate Harvest!

Be sure to take in the sights, sounds, smells and excitement of harvest by extending your stay for a few days. The Vintners’ Visa is a four-day pass to 12 participating wineries, each of whom are pulling out all the stops just for Vintners’ Visa holders. The Vintners' Visa can be used at participating wineries from can be used Friday through Monday so make it a long weekend! And for the full celebratory mode, (and for a great deal!), order a “combo ticket” which gives you access to the Festival at Rancho Sisquoc and a Vintners’ Visa!

Immediately following the Santa Barbara County Harvest Festival, enjoy live music while sampling cheeses from Santa Barbara's "C'est Cheese" expertly paired with Lucas & Lewellen and Mandolina wines.

Wine Club Cruise to the Mexican Riviera

Date: February 5th-12th
Location: Leave San Diego and cruise to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas

 

The date has finally been set for our fabulous 2011 L&L Wine Club cruise from San Diego to the Mexican Riviera. This time, Louis Lucas and the L&L team will cruise seven nights on the spectacular Holland America ship, ms Oosterdam, visiting the beautiful ports of Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo San Lucas.

L&L Wine Cruise Schedule of Events    (may be revised slightly prior to cruise):

Saturday: "Welcome Aboard Cocktail Party" with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a special Lucas & Lewellen cruise-only wine.  A select Lucas & Lewellen wine will be featured with dinner.

Sunday: During the full day at sea, L&L will host a wine tasting event with Louis Lucas.  A select Lucas & Lewellen wine will be featured with dinner.

Monday: During the full day at sea, L&L will host a "Winemaker's Luncheon" in the fabulous Pinnacle Grill paired with 3 Lucas & Lewellen wines.  A select Lucas & Lewellen wine will be featured with dinner.

Tuesday: Visit Puerto Vallarta from 8 A.M. until 8 P.M.

Wednesday: Visit Mazatlan from 8 A.M. until 5 P.M.  A select Lucas & Lewellen wine will be featured with dinner.

Thursday: Visit Cabo San Lucas from 8 A.M. until 5 P.M.  A select Lucas & Lewellen wine will be featured with dinner.

Saturday: Return to San Diego at 7 A.M.
